DESCRIPTION

Sitio San Roque is a Philippine single origin coffee that highlights the diversity of flavors coming from Mindanao’s growing coffee communities. Sourced from the small municipality of Pangantucan, Bukidnon, this coffee reflects both place and process, shaped by local farmers and careful handling at origin.

This lot is organized by Kalsada Coffee, whose work with farming communities has played a key role in bringing Philippine coffees into clearer focus. The coffee is naturally processed, dried by farmers in the region to preserve sweetness and enhance fruit character. Grown from the Catimor varietal, it offers a profile that’s approachable yet distinct, showing how local coffees can express brightness and clarity without losing balance.

In the cup, Sitio San Roque is light and lively. Expect notes of black tea layered with tropical fruit, led by pineapple and melon, followed by a gently sweet finish with a subtle hint of spice. The body is light, and the acidity is crisp but controlled, giving the cup energy without sharpness.

Sitio San Roque’s role is to showcase another side of Philippine coffee. It’s an accessible, fruit-forward single origin that works well as a pour-over, French press, or classic coffee maker. This is a coffee for drinkers looking to explore local origins beyond the familiar, with confidence and curiosity.

At Plain Sight, we believe that getting your coffee to you at the right time provides for a great brewing experience. We make sure that you'll get your coffees not more than 10 days from the roast date, ensuring the right amount of time for you to try it out without it being too fresh off the roast. We recommend brewing the coffee 7 days from roast and flavors will peak around 2-4 weeks from roast
