Plain Sight Coffee Roasters, in collaboration with visual artist Sofia Cope, have released a new limited edition coffee blend for the summer called Paradise. An Artist Reception was held at Plain Sight HQ on the 11th of May featuring the works of Sofia Cope on display at the venue alongside the opportunity to try out a cup of Paradise.
A vibrant blend of washed Ethiopia Tabe Burka and a natural processed Colombia Cambacu. Paradise has explosive notes of cherry, mango, oolong tea, and cacao nibs. Crafting the blend to achieve these notes, the flavors were meticulously chosen to capture the essence of summer's vibrancy and warmth, offering a refreshing yet familiar taste that can enhance any moment of relaxation or social gathering during the sunny season.
The collaboration was born from a shared passion for creativity and excellence. Sofia Cope, known for her dream-like visual narratives and profound connection to nature and psychology, found a kindred spirit in Plain Sight Coffee Roasters, a brand celebrated for its innovative and accessible approach to coffee.
"The flavors of Paradise blend immediately transported me to a place of joy and relaxation, reminiscent of a hidden beach in Albay I once visited," Sofia explains. "That experience of ultimate bliss is what we aimed to bottle in this blend."
In designing the packaging, Sofia infused elements that are both personal and universal. The label features motifs such as cherries, mangoes, and oolong tea leaves, intertwined with imagery of summer landscapes and serene beaches. "I imagine it’s something that can put you in a better mood or energize you, especially if served cold”, shared Sofia. “As a creative, it’s something I would need considering my work requires mental fuel. But it can also be a drink to simply enjoy with your friends or in solitude in the summer.”
Alongside the coffee blend, the collaboration has also produced a limited edition scarf and postcards featuring Sofia's artwork, making it a collectible item for both art aficionados and coffee enthusiasts alike.
"We believe that coffee is more than just a drink; it's an experience that engages all senses," says Sean Lee, CEO of Plain Sight Coffee Roasters. "Working with Sofia, we've created a blend that doesn't just taste delicious but also captures the imagination through its artistic presentation."
Paradise is now available for a limited time at the Plain Sight Coffee Roasters HQ in Mandala Park, Mandaluyong City, and online at https://www.plainsight.coffee.
