Indonesia’s soil runs ripe for growing exceptional coffee, so it’s no surprise that they’re one of the top five producers of coffee in the world. The Southeast Asian country is typically known for earthy, full-bodied coffee (civet coffee, anyone?), which is ideal for those looking for a strong brew in the morning. Although if you branch out to different regions in Indonesia, you’ll find coffee farms that offer something beyond the norm—like the Barokah Kerinci, the newest single-origin at Plain Sight Coffee!
Our first single-origin from Indonesia
The Barokah Kerinci, the newest Indonesian single-origin in our roster, will make you rethink what you know about coffee in Indonesia. Grown in Sumatra, this coffee is named after Mount Kerinci, the highest mountain in the region. The beans go through the natural process and are medium roasted at Plain Sight, resulting in a prominently sweet cup of coffee with balanced acidity where you can taste notes of cola, ponkan, and vanilla.
