  • Grind size: medium coarse
  • Coffee amount: 15 grams
  • Brewing water: 240mL water

One of the joys of coffee is getting to experience its full spectrum of flavor profiles. A great way to do this is by brewing a pour-over, where you can drink coffee in its purest form. Pour-overs let you bring out each bean’s full potential, as this brewing method yields a clean and crisp cup and lets its tasting notes shine.

Just like the nuanced brews you get in a pour-over, set-ups can vary in different ways and come in all shapes and sizes. In this brewing guide, we’ll be teaching you how to make a pour-over with the Amber Coffee Set, a sleek dripper and carafe combo. The carafe can hold up to 1.2L of brewed coffee, making it perfect for sharing or for fueling your coffee needs all day.

step

1

Place the Wave filter in the brewer and soak with a generous amount of hot water. Discard water afterwards. This is to ensure the coffee won’t cool down fast.

Pour in 50ml of hot water and wait to bloom for 30 to 40 seconds.

Pour in 60ml of hot water. Your total amount of water should now be 110ml.

step

5

At 1:05, pour in another 60ml of hot water, for a total of 170ml.

step

6

At 1:45, pour in another 60ml of hot water, for a total of 230ml. Total brewing time should be 2:20 to 2:30. Enjoy!
