DESCRIPTION

We’re kicking 2024 off with not just our first release of the year, but also our first collab. Introducing Burst, our latest limited release with acclaimed multimedia artist Lee Caces.

Burst is a reflection of the coffees that got Lee into coffee, with the blend being sweet and fruit forward. Burst is available to purchase on its own or with the limited designed tote. A limited run of 50 A3 prints with Lee’s signature will also be available with the coffee and tote as well, with the choice of risograph harkening to Lee’s early years in advertising.

Enjoy Burst through your favorite coffee brewers, and experience those lovely notes of apples, molasses, and biscuits.

At Plain Sight, we believe that getting your coffee to you at the right time provides for a great brewing experience. We make sure that you'll get your coffees not more than 10 days from the roast date, ensuring the right amount of time for you to try it out without it being too fresh off the roast. We recommend brewing the coffee 7 days from roast and flavors will peak around 2-4 weeks from roast

COFFEE ORIGIN

Coffee Origin ETHIOPIA

Ethiopia, renowned for being coffee's birthplace, is cherished in the specialty coffee industry for its diverse flavors. This richness stems from genetic diversity among coffee varieties, unique processing methods, and traditional production practices. Even within similar growing conditions, flavors vary, making Ethiopian coffee exceptional. These factors collectively contribute to the high-quality coffee enjoyed worldwide.

Coffee Origin PAPUA NEW GUINEA

Papua New Guinea (PNG) is emerging in the specialty coffee world despite challenges like remote locations and poor infrastructure. Smallholders, comprising 85% of coffee producers, cultivate coffee in small plots alongside other crops. Processing involves pulping, fermenting, and drying, with sun drying or mechanical dryers like the Asaro dryer being common methods. Organizing farmers into cooperatives is challenging due to diverse tribal groups and languages. However, efforts are underway to improve coffee quality and livelihoods.

Coffee Origin PHILIPPINES

Coffee in the Philippines boasts a rich history, with Arabica and Robusta varieties grown across diverse regions. While not a major player globally, the Philippines offers unique and flavorful beans favored for their mild acidity and fruity notes. Smallholder farmers dominate production, often employing traditional methods. The country's volcanic soil and tropical climate contribute to its distinct coffee profiles. Though facing challenges such as aging trees and low productivity, efforts to revive the industry are underway, with a growing focus on sustainability and quality. Filipino coffee presents an opportunity for drinkers to explore distinctive and ethically sourced brews.
