Papua New Guinea Arufa Estate
Papua New Guinea Arufa Estate
Dark Chocolate · Green Apple · White Raisins
Arufa Estate is a single origin from Jiwaka, Papua New Guinea chosen for its balance of familiar chocolate flavors and dried fruit profile.
Arufa Estate stands out from Plain Sight’s single origin lineup because of its cocoa-forward brew and fruity taste. Grown at 1650 MASL, this coffee has a layered profile with tasting notes of dark chocolate, green apple, and white raisins. Coffee drinkers will appreciate its classic dark chocolate tasting notes while green apple and white raisins introduce a bright complexity. The coffee’s sweetness is pronounced but still controlled enough to give the cup a smooth and rounded feel without overpowering the brew.
Medium roasted at Plain Sight to bring out acidity and depth, expect a chocolate-forward character rather than a citrus heavy profile.
Arufa Estate’s role is to provide comforting flavors with a fruity and acidic twist. It’s an approachable option for those who want to ease into more adventurous taste profiles.
Best brewed as a hot pour-over, French press, and espresso to experience the coffee’s distinct notes.
Best for: Chocolate-forward, sweet brews
Recommended brew methods: Hot pour-over, French press, and espresso

Papua New Guinea’s coffee sector is mostly made up of small farming communities.
Out of 22 provinces, coffee is cultivated in 18 of them with Jiwaka being the 3rd largest coffee producer in Papua New Guinea. While both Arabica and Robusta are grown in the region, the former can be more commonly found.
